It is a little-known fact that using
cheap third-party lens caps is dangerous to the health of your lenses.
Plasticizer fumes from some of them will strip the multicoating right
off the front of your lens, greatly reducing the contrast in your images.
Stick with proper name-brand caps to be safe.
