This technic combines two complementing elements: the work of craftsmen of such caliber that their manual operations are the result of thorough knowledge of mathematics, engineering, and materials--plus the almost incredible accuracy of modern precision machines and machine tools. Eliminating both
..... the narrower scope possible with machine production, and the variation inevitable in individual craftsmanship, this new technic logically combines the valuable features of both methods to produce results of a standard not previously possible. First result of this technic was the famous Cine Kodak Special, which set a new high standard in the amateur motion-picture camera field.
